What is shimmer wrestling?

Shimmer Women Athletes, commonly known as Shimmer Wrestling, is an American all-women professional wrestling promotion. It was founded in 2005 by Dave Prazak and Allison Danger and its first show was held in November 2005 in Berwyn, Illinois.

Shimmer Wrestling was created with the purpose of providing a platform for female wrestlers to showcase their skills and abilities and gain recognition in the professional wrestling industry. The promotion has featured some of the best female wrestlers from around the world, including Sara Del Rey, Cheerleader Melissa, Madison Eagles, Kana (now known as Asuka in WWE), Candice LeRae, and many others.

Shimmer Wrestling held its first pay-per-view event, Volume 114, in 2019, which was available on FITE TV. The promotion continues to host events regularly, with its shows being available to watch on DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming services. Additionally, Shimmer Wrestling has helped to launch the careers of many successful female wrestlers in major promotions such as WWE, AEW, and Impact Wrestling.
